Make A Snowflake DIY

 

Decorating for winter is so much fun especially when you get to bring the snow indoors while staying toasty warm!

To celebrate winter I made these easy DIY Yarn Snowflakes:

I added two of these yarn snowflakes to my Winter Mantle:

To make a snowflake:  

Supplies:

Bamboo skewers

Chunky White Yarn

Wire

Wire cutters

Hot glue

Scissors

  Tutorial:

Take 2 bamboo skewers and overlap them on one end and wire together, using wire snips to snip off the end of wire:

Make 4 of these wired bamboo sticks in total.

Hot glue the center of each of these wired bamboo sticks, one on top of the other, to form a snowflake shape.

Wrap yarn around the middle 3- 4 times then wind the yarn around each of the snowflake ‘arms’ until the entire snowflake is wrapped.  Wind 3 times around the middle, tie the yarn in a knot and cut the yarn.
