I love to decorate my entry way at Christmas to create a space that’s welcoming and cozy for guests and family!
The front entry is the first room in the home that your guests see your personality and style!
So add some warm, inviting elements with holiday lighting and decor to make it special!
Here are the ways I love to add a festive, welcoming look to my foyer:
Christmas Entryway Decor Ideas – The Overall Style, Colors & Feeling of the Entry:
The first step in decorating your entryway for Christmas is to decide on how you want your front entry to feel!
Cheery? Elegant? Whimsical? I decided I wanted a timeless, elegant feel to our foyer with a winter wonderland style!
Next step is to select your holiday colors? Do you like bright colors? Classic Red? Gold and Silver? I chose gold and silver mixed with creamy ivory for my foyer holiday look.
What style do you want your foyer to have for Christmas?
Coastal? Traditional? Modern? This will determine the style of ornaments, wreaths and decor you bring into your entry!

Embellish On What You Have & Determine What You Need:
Survey your entry and decide on what you already have that will create the Christmas style you want.
Then determine what you need to fill the gaps.
Maybe you have a console table that you want to decorate but you need a new area rug.
Or maybe you need a new mirror and some bench seating.
Maybe its new garland or tabletop Christmas trees.
Make a list and pick up what you need to create your Christmas entry!
Adding a rug like this gray and ivory rug is a quick and easy way to refresh your entry.
A high back bench creates a beautiful elegant look and provides seating to put on boots and shoes.
And it’s really great for holiday guests!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE adding glimmer lights to my entire home at Christmas! There is nothing more peaceful and relaxing than Christmas twinkle lights!
They are perfect for farmhouse style, traditional, modern and glam interior decor styles too!
I filled 4 lanterns I have in my foyer with them and draped one on the bench! They are battery operated with timers so they automatically turn on at dusk.
They add beautiful ambiance and decoration all year round!

A bowl of Christmas ornaments is such an affordable, simple and quick way to decorate the entry for the holidays!
Use a color and ornament style you love and fill a bowl with this easy festive idea!
You could add small birch branches and led grapevine orbs for a rustic look.
I added silver and gold balls and gold glitter artificial leaves to a white ironstone bowl.
This is such an easy centerpiece!
I love the shimmer and shine from the metallic Christmas ornaments!
