Hi everyone! I’m heading to New York City today to attend the Better Homes and Gardens Stylemaker event and I’m so excited! See what I’ll be up to! Don’t forget to enter my Reader Appreciation Giveaway for a chance to win a $100 Visa Gift Card!

I pinch myself every day that as a blogger how lucky I am to be doing something I’m passionate about and also that I have been so fortunate to be invited to join in some incredible and fun opportunities like this one!

I'm a Better Homes and Gardens Stylemaker!

Better Homes and Gardens Stylemaker 2016

To attend this premier national magazine’s exclusive style event in the big apple is something I only dreamed about when I turned my blog into a business three short years ago!

I love covering interior design and decor trend and style events and sharing with you all the interesting new ideas from them!

Earlier this year I was an AmericasMart Atlanta #StyleYourSeason Design Trend Scout  at the AmercasMart International Home Furnishings and Gift Market – and that was so fun!

My Design Trend Picks and Trend Report is published in print in the 2016 AmericasMart International Gift and Home Furnishings Market Home Book. Another pinch me moment!

I had so much fun scouting the new trends for 2016 and writing my Interior Design Trend Report for 2016 and sharing with you all the interesting decor and design trends for the year.

See the top 5 Home Design Trends and decor ideas from AmericasMart Atlanta International Home Furnishings and Gift Market.

One of the trends I talked about was the hot trend of Shibouri prints (a Japanese hand dying technique)…. and they certainly were a big decor hit this year through summer and is still going strong!

This is oversized Shibouri print wallpaper – isn’t it pretty?

One of my top picks for Design Trends this year is Shibouri prints! See how they can be used in the home.

Shibouri prints are typically created with the color Indigo and Indigo is a big color trend for fall. You can read about Indigo Blue: 10 Amazing Ways To Add This Color To Your Home Decor.

10 amazing ways to add color trend Indigo Blue to your home: 10 Paint color ideas and home decor ideas that will update your space. Such a stylish, timeless and comfortable blue color!

I added indigo color to my living room for the fall – I absolutely LOVE it!! I’ll be sharing with you how I did that soon!

For the BHG Stylemaker event I’ll be attending workshops at the prestigious Gramercy Park Hotel, on design, decor, a presentation by Crate and Barrel called The Creativity Clinic and how to take videos so that I can start sharing videos with you guys – yay!!

I’m really excited about that!

Would you like to see decor and DIY videos on my blog to follow along with? Videos on how I create my DIY projects and how to decorate your home? Let me know in the comments below please!!

I’ll also be meeting with the incredibly talented BHG editorial team – who I’ve gotten to know as a writer for BHG – but this will be my first time meeting them face to face.

As well I’ll be connecting with some of my blogger friends and best of all – hopefully making new friends too!

The keynote speakers at the event are: HGTV celebrity Padma Lakshmi – she’s such a talented model, television host of Top Chef, author and food expert as well as Grace Bonney founder of Design Sponge.

So obviously I’m going to be really inspired!

Follow along the Stylemaker behind the scenes fun on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram using the hashtag #BHGStylemaker so you can see what I’ll be up to!

I can’t wait to share with you all that I learned and what inspired me when I return!

I'm a Better Homes and Gardens Stylemaker!
