10 Minute Kitchen Decor Idea:
Steps to creating a Kitchen Apothecary Jar Centerpiece for your Kitchen Island, Kitchen Table or Countertop
First gather your supplies together:
You will need a tray with a flat bottom. I used a white serving tray like this, but you could any kind of tray as long as it has a flat bottom so nothing tips over.
One or two apothecary jars – I used two that have different heights.
Vase filler/potpourri – I used two packages of potpourri that contains pine cones, preserved pine boughs, acorns and cinnamon sticks. The potpourri I used I purchased at a local store but this Fresh Royal Fir Potpourri is very similar and gorgeous!
Flowers
Greenery – I clipped some boxwood and cedar boughs from my yard.
Pine cones

How to put together this look: Fill the apothecary jars with vase filler then place them on the tray. Add a scented candle. Fill some shot glasses or small vases with flower clippings and greenery. Place them on the tray around the apothecary jars. The last step is to add some pine cones to the tray, around the flowers and apothecary jars.
I light the scented candle when I’m prepping dinner – it gets dark here so early in the evening and the candle adds a pretty glow to my kitchen while I’m working on supper!
I love how it looks on my kitchen island! It’s a pretty wintery look that really perks up our kitchen.

Nice ideas, I managed to score a large apothecary jar from a street market for €5 which I was over the moon about. At Christmas I filled it with baubles but it is now currently standing empty – thanks for the inspiration!

That’s a great deal you scored on your apothecary jar Sam! I like your idea of filling it with Christmas decor!

Have some shells and white sand from Florida and some pine cones (all natural supplies) to recycle. All I need to add is some potpourri. Thanks for the inspiration; can’t wait to get started. I know it’s after Christmas, but with the cold weather and hopefully some snow, it will fit right in.
