10 Minute Christmas Lantern Decor!

I am a bit obsessed with lanterns and have several inside my home and on our front porch!

There are so many ways you can decorate lanterns for the seasons and holidays throughout the year.

At Christmastime I love to fill them with holiday decorative balls and fresh greenery!

I add flameless candles with battery operated timers to my lanterns as well – so that when the sun sets they automatically turn on and glimmer at night!

It takes less than 10 minutes to make this holiday lantern decor idea:

1.Add a flameless candle that has the timer set for the time you want it to turn on – so you don’t have to go into the lantern and turn the candles on and off each day!

2. Then add a few sprigs of real (or faux) holiday greenery like pine and cedar.

3. Top off with a few Christmas balls or other ornaments – make sure they are small enough to fit the lantern.

That’s it – so quick and easy!

I used matte silver, sparkly gold and matte black mini Christmas balls  – they go with my whole metallic glam entryway vibe!

I love how these black holiday ornaments tie in the black finish of the lantern, my black urns and black bordered welcome mat!

Adding black to any space gives it a sophisticated look.

My tip is that you use ornaments in your lanterns that are similar in color to your other holiday decorations to get a coordinated look.
