Neutral and Elegant Christmas Home Tour
Let’s start at my front porch!
I decorated my front porch with big urns filled with greenery, my 10 minute decorated lanterns, a huge rustic glam wreath and garland around the door.
This year I decorated my home and my front porch with a neutral elegant vibe…with lots of silver and gold metallic ornaments and neutral colors. I also love a rustic look at Christmas so I use lots of birch and pinecones!
See all of my paint colors here.
I love this incense cedar and loading my front urns with it! My porch smells amazing with all of the fresh white pine and cedar boughs!
I decorated my garland with silver pinecones, real pinecones and metallic Christmas balls. I just attach them with ornament hooks and they stay in place, even when through the snow storms we’ve had!
Check out my post on how to make these quick and easy 10 minute Christmas lanterns! I love the glow they give our porch at night!
I make my big urns by our front door up myself with birch poles, greenery and curly willow… but these small holiday urns I bought. They are actually hanging baskets and I cut the hanging wire off of them and put them in black urns I had leftover from this summer!
I also added the gold berries and big pine cone picks I had on hand to dress them up a bit more.
I love love love the look and smell of real pine and holiday greenery!
I love how pretty our big cedar out front looks sprinkled with the fresh snow!
I made two wreaths to hang beside our garage doors filled with lots of sparkly bronze and chartreuse greenery, white and gold berries with a few sprigs of boxwood!
This year I added a lighted faux pine garland to our lamp post and added a real cedar swag with some raffia and chartreuse holiday decor.
Look at all the snow we have! It’s perfect snowman making weather here!
So let’s head inside now!
Here’s my Elegant and Neutral Christmas Foyer! More metallics! I love these birch tree pillows and the new gorgeous mirrors I added to our foyer wall:
…let’s head into our family room! I took a wide shot from our stairs to show you the space where we hang out for family movie nights!
Christmas decorating can be as easy as filling round bowls with Christmas balls!
Our family room Christmas ‘tree’ is super easy to make: I found two big branches from the woods behind out home and spray painted them gold, stuck them in a tall white vase filled with rice to keep the branches upright, then hung metallic silver and gold Christmas balls on the branches!
I love the simple elegant look of our twiggy glam holiday tree!
Cuddly throw blankets and Mongolian fur pillows make our family room a perfect spot to cuddle and catch up on Netflix!
The popcorn and hot chocolate are ready!
