DIY Home Decor: Aqua and Gold Lacquer Paint Box Set

DIY Home Decor: Aqua and Gold Lacquer Paint Box Set

Here’s how you can make them! Turn plain wooden boxes into stylish trendy containers that you can use for storage in any room.

Supplies:

Make this Easy DIY Lacquer Blue and Gold Painted Box Set

DecoArt  Desert Turquoise

DecoArt Splendid Gold

 Duraclear Gloss Varish

Foam brush

2 wood boxes 

Phillips screwdriver

Wood putty

Sandpaper

Ruler

Painter’s Tape 

Instructions:

Remove all front and side plates and screws from the boxes using the screwdriver.

Fill holes with wood putty. Let Dry.

How to make a Gorgeous Aqua and Metallic Gold Box Set.

Sand entire box smooth.

Turn a Plain Wood Boxes into a Gorgeous Metallic Gold and Aqua Set!

Paint 2 coats Desert Turquoise with foam brush. Let Dry.

Add painter’s tape along top edge of box 1 cm down from edge for a 1 cm stripe. Press edges to seal. Paint 2 coats of Gold. Let Dry.

Apply a coat of high gloss varnish. Let Dry.

I love them! This metallic gold and turquoise blue color combination is so pretty! The gold metallic stripe is shimmery in the light and really pops with the blue paint and lacquer finish.
