Hello everyone! Today I’m sharing some more organization tips to help everyone get organized this month – this time I’m in my laundry room showing you Laundry Room Organization in 3 Easy Steps!
Our laundry room is not that big and really works overtime – it functions as a mudroom, garage entryway and laundry room too! We’re asking a lot from this small space so smart organization and storage ideas are a must!
Laundry Room Organization in 3 Easy Steps:
1. Use a cube organizer: I love how this cube organizer compartmentalizes everything! I use some of the cubes for decor and some to hold lidded boxes and baskets that organize our laundry room supplies. The cube organizer also functions as a handy place to set my keys and mail down when I’m entering the house through the garage.

2. Make Use of Vertical Space: Stack your Washer and Dryer! Stacking your front loading washer and dryer is a genius way to maximize your laundry room space. If you have a tiny laundry room like me this is completely the way to go! We stacked our washer and dryer ourselves. Tip: The dryer has to go on top since it weighs less than the washer. I personally love having my machines stacked – less bending!
3. Use baskets, lidded boxes and fabric storage bins: I use two storage baskets in the cube organizer to store the battery charger, extra battery to our cordless vacuum (which we LOVE!!) and to store gloves and mitts. Lidded boxes organize vacuum accessories, swiffer pads and other cleaning and laundry room supplies in the cube organizer. I also added two lidded boxes on top of our spare refrigerator to store cloths I make from old T shirts. Fabric storage bins with handles sit on top of the stacked washer and dryer as well as our stand up freezer and they organize our paper towel, cleaners and dryer sheets!

Heather, it was great sharing this day with you at The Ultimate Cleaning & Organization Resource! In my post today, I shared that we plan on reconfiguring our laundry room in January. We’ve gone as far as drawing up our reconfiguration on paper and I was so pleased to see your laundry room today because it is EXACTLY the configuration we drew out! From stacking our washer & dryer to placing the upright freezer beside them and the sink on the opposite side. Your post sealed the deal in our plans – thank you! I might also steal your great idea for adding a cubby unit because I’ll have the floor space, exactly where yours is. LOL
What a gorgeous laundry room you have, Heather!!! Pinning! XO
