Do you have kids or grandkids whose rooms need updating?

Here are 5 amazing decor tips for creating a timeless kids bedroom will grow into and LOVE!

Kids are notorious for changing their minds constantly.

Learn how to decorate kids bedrooms using fun ideas and timeless style tips that will save you money and time by creating a room that will easily grow with them.

Save money and time! 5 Tips for Creating a Kids Bedroom They Will Grow Into and Love! Avoid redecorating their rooms every time they find a new favorite color or interest. Timeless styles and fun decor ideas.

5 Tips for Creating a Kids Bedroom They Will Grow Into and Love!

In this article you will learn:

– How to use neutral colors versus trend colors

– Timeless decorating ideas for curtains, rugs, storage and furniture!

1. Neutral Paint Color

Instead of bold or lollipop trend colors,  pick a neutral wall color! White walls like Sherwin Williams Pure White will make accent colors pop! Soft creams, grays and beige wall colors are also great colors to look at!

 2. Choose Timeless Bedroom Furniture

Choose a bed frame and a dresser that is timeless not juvenile.  These classic pieces will grow with them right into their teen years and into their first apartment or home!

A classic wood or wrought-iron bed frame, for example, can easily be dressed in different bedding sets as they grow.

3. Area Rugs

Keep your kids bedroom from looking too themed by adding an area rug that’s high on style and low on ‘kiddie’ looks, like toy trucks.

Classic stripes, geometrics or vintage distressed styles will work through their years!

4. Bookcases

Instead of primary color bins, choose rattan and wicker bins for the bookcase to store kids toys and memorabilia!

5. Window Coverings

Keep window coverings stylish with woven shades and white or beige drapes.

I love your kids bedroom ideas! It’s so nice to not have to change all of the decor as your kids grow, and I have always loved built ins!
Thank you for sharing your talent and giving inspiration! Also for the chance to win a gift card, I am doing some much needed updates in my kitchen/dining area and that would definitely help!
    Thanks again!

Great ideas for kids rooms. I enjoy your blog.
Would love a $100 Visa gift card. My daughter is updating my youngest
grandson’s room and I would pass the gift card along to her.

I’m in the middle of trying to do two kids rooms so I stumbled upon your ideas. Lighting seems to make a big difference. And my daughter loves bright multi colored so I think I’ll pull that in with your idea on her bed with a blanket/quilt and matching pillows and maybe a fun rug!

My kids rooms definitely need updating and it’s a little bit of a chore as they are both on the small side. It really forces us to consider what’s important as well as make efficient use of the space while not making it seem even smaller! Love that shade and cornice! That would be great in both the rooms for sure!
