Create some summer magic with an outdoor conversation set, lush greenery and entertaining serveware to serve your beverages and snacks in style. Today I’m sharing our new outdoor lounge that I created on our back deck, perfect for kicking back and unwinding during the beautiful days of summer – and just in time to pamper my husband for Father’s Day!
I’m working on a campaign with Wayfair to help them promote their gorgeous outdoor furniture perfect for creating a relaxing Father’s Day oasis that I absolutely love and I can’t wait to tell you about it.
My hubby is such a hard worker! As an infantry officer his days are busy overseeing the planning and development of Joint Forces and military operations so I wanted to pamper him by giving him a spot for some ‘me time’ and with some relaxation time outdoors – letting him rest and relax in the outdoor seating set with a cool summer beverage!
Summer Magic With A New Conversation Set
I began creating our outdoor lounge with this gorgeous Atlantic Java 3 Piece Seating Group with Cushions in grey. I love the grey color of the resin wicker! It ties in beautifully with our driftwood colored deck and our outdoor greenery! This synthetic wicker is durable and I love the woven texture!
The three piece conversation set with two chairs and a coffee table is a perfect size for this part of our deck just off our kitchen. This space also holds our BBQ and a few planters so a three piece set offers the functional seating we need without making it feel cramped.
I just love how comfy these chairs are! This set includes a handsome charcoal grey, soft seat cushion AND a comfortable back cushion – very ‘lounge-able’!
My hubby deserves to relax in comfort and style. I know he’ll find slipping off his combat boots and into the soft cushions of this Atlantic Java 3 Piece Seating Group with Cushions sure beats the confines of an armoured vehicle!
The coffee table with it’s glass top is the perfect spot to sit beverages and snacks on.
To create an outdoor room ideal for relaxation I added some planters packed with colorful flowers and two planters holding emerald cedars. The tall cedars add some privacy and lushness to our space. They are such a stunning backdrop!
Some battery outdoor candle filled lanterns create ambiance and soft lighting at night. Grass green geometric patterned toss pillows add a pop of summery color and our black and cream area rug adds some cushiness underfoot and ties the whole space together.
I also added a small side table between the chairs as a spot to sit drinks and a newspaper or book down.
I created a mini cocktail herb ‘bar’ with some potted herbs that are perfect in the cocktails, iced teas and flavored waters that we love to sip on during the hot lazy days of summer!
Fresh rosemary, lemon grass and mojito mint in DIY whitewashed terra cotta pots are right at hand to flavor our summer drinks.

How did you find the cedars held up in the containers? We’ve just expanded our deck and I want to add some type of privacy screening on two sides (so we’re not staring down into our neighbours yard). This may be a great solution 🙂
They’ve held up great and are really beautiful! You do have to water them a lot in the summer as cedars require a lot of watering. I’d go out every other day and water them with a hose/sprayer. Hope that helps! 🙂
