See these gorgeous BEACHY dining room decorating ideas and summer tablescape! Lots of summer home decor ideas for entertaining including driftwood, shell and starfish accents and beautiful white place settings!

Shop the Look! See the list of decor resources at the bottom of this post!

I’ve changed up my dining room for summer with some beachy decor – come and see!

Spring in my dining room was all about boxwood and pops of green but for summer I love decorating with watery blues!

Come see my beachy dining room decorating ideas:
See these gorgeous BEACHY dining room decorating ideas and summer tablescape! Birch poles with outdoor cafe lights painted gold, driftwood orbs on top of candlesticks. Ocean blue napkins and candles, lanterns filled with shells, white dishes, white vase filled with white dipped branches and starfish accents at each place setting.

I’ve mentioned before how much I love the beach – I grew up near the shores of a clear northern lake, spending my  childhood days chasing minnows, collecting sea glass and driftwood. I have a real soft spot in my heart for the beach.

When our kiddos were young I’d take them every day to the beach too….building sand castles, splashing in the waves.

The beach for me is all about fun family memories and relaxation- so I love to decorate my home with beachy hues of water and sand and lots of shells!

So here is how I brought my dining room to the beach!

I added watery blue candles and napkins to my dining table as well as shells as filler in the rope handled hurricanes.

I love these tall silver leaf candle holders  – aren’t they pretty? Instead of candles I added some driftwood orbs to them for another touch of beach decor. I love using decor items in ways they weren’t necessarily intended!

I placed them on the floor beside my dining room cabinet to create a vignette with my DIY Marbled Paper Wall Art. These candle holders would be beautiful on a mantel or as part of a table centerpiece too.

I also have a bit of an obsession with birch. We are lucky to have lots of birch trees in the forest behind our home so I added these tall birch branches in a vase in the corner of our dining room. I strung a set of globe cafe string lights (which I spray painted gold)  onto the branches.

I’ll be adding more beachy decor to my home this summer – stay tuned!

Beach it is! The rope handled hurricanes are so simple and elegant and really work with your traditional furnishings in blending the outdoors and the refined indoors. Beautiful. The candlesticks with the driftwood orbs bring the whole room into the beach theme and reflect an air of summer. Who knew! I also used the globe lights, but never thought of painting them. It looks fantastic on the birch as it doesn’t distract. Thank you for sharing this wonderful look with us.
