These make beautiful gift ideas too! Especially the Meyer lemon tree that comes in a gift pot with a beautiful ribbon!

Check out these gorgeous houseplants for indoors, outdoors, porch and patio!

Complete them with a selection of gorgeous plant pots and baskets that I’ve linked below.

Why I love houseplants:

I absolutely love houseplants! There’s nothing like a pop of greenery to perk up a room without spending much money! Put them in pretty baskets, plant pots or the new trend – pots on stands!

Houseplants are one of my must have, go-to decorating tricks to bring life, color, pattern, texture and interest to a room!

Houseplants are an inexpensive way to decorate a corner like I did here :

….and they are one of my 7 Living Room Design Tips!

Houseplants are an easy, low-budget way to style coffee tables, end tables and bookshelves.

I especially love using houseplants outdoors in the summer! Last summer I added two potted palm plants to our pergola dining area and they looked so beautiful! I’m definitely going to add them to our pergola this summer!

I also added two potted palms to our fire table seating area on our lower patio for a tropical feel! Palms are so easy to care for and low maintenance!

Crotons are my latest love – their variegated leaves are stunning and they are perfect summer outdoor patio plants.

I’m also crushing on olive trees right now!

Olive trees are the newest plant trend – you’ll see them all over Instagram! (I’d love for you to follow me on Instagram to see all my design tips and room makeovers that I post there and in my IG stories!) Olive trees look gorgeous indoors and outside.

Here are a variety of houseplants that caught my eye that are gorgeous for their leaves and shape! I hope you like them too!

Hi Heather, I love this post! My houseplant faves are snake plants and boston ferns. Great way to add a pop of color as you said. Also love the basket you chose with the snake plant.
