Make a gift basket! It’s fun and will really impress the person you are giving it to! With these easy tips you can save money and personalize it for any celebration or holiday.!  A DIY gift basket is so much fun to make because it’s made from the heart, is so thoughtful – the person getting it is going to be so thrilled.  Plus you can customize it to a person’s hobby or interest. Make a special Gift Basket for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, weddings, baby showers, graduations, birthdays, anniversaries, Christmas and other holidays!

HOW TO MAKE A GIFT BASKET

Basket or Container

Start with a wicker basket with a handle large enough to hold all of the gifts you want to place in it. You can also use wire baskets , rattan baskets or fabric storage cubes.  Think outside the box and use items like kid’s pails, vintage tin boxes or tool boxes (for Father’s Day, guy’s birthday)!

Basket filler

Add shredded basket filler, tissue paper or raffia to the bottom of your gift basket to add a touch of color and to hold your gifts in place!

 Basket Bag

Place your basket filled with gifts into a clear basket bag large enough to cover the top of the basket with room to gather  and tie at the top .

Gift tag

The final touch is to add a gift tag embellished with the person’s name! Tie the gift tag onto the basket with baker’s twine or jute string .

 Ribbon Bows

Make your own ribbon bows using gorgeous satin or grosgrain ribbon in any color under the rainbow! Add a bow or two to the top of the bagged gift basket.

Use a bow maker to create your own gorgeous bows using your own bow designs.
