Summer Home Tour – Kitchen, Breakfast Nook & Entryway
I’ve been really enjoying decorating our home for summer the past week!
Because of all the store closures a lot of what I’ve used I had on hand and pulled from my decor closet or moved around from other rooms!
However I did get some gorgeous new accent pillows and stunning ginger jars – which I’m so excited to show you!
Today, I’m sharing how I decorated my newly remodeled kitchen and breakfast nook with summery touches and summer foyer decor tips!

Decorating for Summer
With a few summer decor accents and gorgeous florals, things are feeling brighter and lighter in our home already and it’s a welcome change after this long winter we had!
Summer is my absolute favorite season!
Give me all the gorgeous sunny days with BBQ’s, dining al fresco in our backyard gazebo, lounging at our patio fire table seating area and relaxing in our outdoor hot tub!
Summer Entryway Decor Ideas
So let’s start the home tour with my Summer entry!

It’s the first place to make an impression on your home interior, so I love to decorate it with elegant touches, sparkle and shimmer!
The vertical sunburst mirror wall has been such a favorite and easy DIY project of mine. I love how these beautiful mirrors bounce the light around and really make the space feel brighter.
5 Design Tricks To Brighten A Dark Room

This settee bench is one of my favorite pieces of furniture! We love having a spot to sit to put our shoes on, set our mail down on and for our guests when they enter our home!
I love the tufting and the fabric is a gorgeous light beige and so soft.
For summer I decorated our settee bench with some new elegant blue Greek key accent pillows.
They are so luxuriously soft!!
I’m head over heels with the stylish greek key pattern and this beautiful ink blue color.
I also have these Greek Key pillows in Dune color ( which is a stunning luminous gold color!!) and I have my eye on the light blue ones and blush pink ones too!
They really create a wow factor in our foyer and add gorgeous texture and chic style.
Designer tip: I love to give my pillows a ‘karate chop’ in the middle of the top to make them look more relaxed and inviting!
Use down or synthetic down fill inserts to be able to give them a karate chop.
You won’t be able to do that with stiff synthetic inserts.
My gray and ivory vintage distressed rug is still looking like new!
I really love the pattern and it’s so easy to clean.
It doesn’t show dirt easily so it’s perfect if you have pets and kiddos!
I also added some new faux florals to my white ironstone bowl.
4 bunches of white roses and 2 bunches of white hydrangeas make for a quick and easy summer centerpiece.
Simple yet so chic.
I keep a white cotton throw on the settee to grab when we sit outside on our porch when it’s cool.
I love to have my morning coffee out there and have a glass of wine at dusk to watch the beautiful sunsets.
Summer Kitchen Decor Ideas
My starting point for my summer kitchen decor is my kitchen island. I always love to change up my kitchen island tray decor!
This year I layered my tray with lots of faux florals, whites and these stunning white and gold striped ginger jars !

These hand painted ginger jars are made in the USA and are absolutely breathtaking!
They are the perfect accent for any room and are a great way to store cookies and treats on your kitchen countertops.
I added a second ginger jar to my counter area by our built in pantry. I added some more faux florals in green and white to it.
These beautiful ginger jars have such a lovely shape and are a great way to fill a bookcase or add to your dining table.
And I’m so excited about my new white Smeg 4 slice toaster! I received it for Mother’s Day and it’s GORGEOUS!
It’s so stunning – the details are incredible.
It’s so funny how I’m so excited by a kitchen appliance, but this toaster really has changed my life lol!
It’s so much more beautiful and toasts so much better than the stainless steel toaster I had before.
It toasts beautifully (has a frozen setting too!) and fits bagels as well.
We use our new Smeg toaster a ton!
For BLT dinners, toast, bagels, frozen waffles….
It’s so easy to clean and looks so sleek…fit’s perfectly with our white kitchen!
Summer Home Tour – Breakfast Nook Decorating Ideas
Let’s continue my summer home tour 2020 with our breakfast nook!
I added white dinnerware with gold flatware and navy and white napkins to create a serene watery look for summer.
I just love how the blue and white pairs with our gold and crystal chandeliers for a fresh glam look!
I’m obsessed with these gorgeous blue and white antelope print pillows!
They pair beautifully with my blue and white color palette.
They make my home feel cohesive and pulled together since they help to carry the blue and white colors in the entryway through this part of our home!
I pulled out my faux palm trees and added them to our breakfast nook – in my favorite baskets with tassels!
