Welcome to my Glam Gold and White Christmas Home Tour!
This is actually my favorite space to decorate for Christmas! I love hanging my lighted faux pine garland around the door frame and decorating it with the big pinecones I collected when we lived in Virginia! I also added silver metal pinecones and silver Christmas balls. I cut up a flocked pine garland and hung the pieces here and there to give it a fuller look.
This Christmas wreath is not new – you’ve seen it in last years home tour! But I LOVE it so much I had to hang it up again this year! I’m not a believer of buying new holiday decor every year – who can afford that? Not me! I used an over the door wreath hanger to hang it.
My black lanterns are filled with white river rock and flameless candles on timers – again you’ve seen these before too – but to give them a new Christmas look I hung mini wreaths on top of them. This is such a simple and quick Christmas decorating idea!
See my front door color here.
Here’s a look at our entire front porch. I added pretty pine and cedar planters on top of the pillars…..
I added some new white and gold pillows to our wicker chairs – sometimes we sit out here with our morning coffee in the winter if the day is mild enough!
I took this photo after we had a snowfall – isn’t the snow pretty?
I decorated our tall black planters with lots of white pine, incense cedar, birch branches, my DIY pinecone picks and white berries. The fresh smell of the pine and cedar is so beautiful!

…and here’s my foyer!
This high back upholstered bench if fairly new and I absolutely love it! It’s so comfy and I love the button tufting!
It’s a great place to sit and take our boots off.
I love these faux fur pillows – they add a light holiday touch to the space.
I kept it pretty simple in my foyer for holiday decor …. a few gold and silver Christmas balls in the ironstone bowl and two wreaths on my office door.

I love these marble and gold lamps – I put them on timers so they add a soft glow at dusk!
Next up is our living room! I love adding cozy pillows for the holidays to our cream sofa! Mongolian fur, more gold and white pillows and faux fur make this a snuggly spot at night!

I added a bit of faux pine greenery to my coffee table and a beautiful silver glitter deer.
The marble box on top of the coffee table contains all of our media remotes.
Here’s my Glam Gold and White Christmas tree – you can see more of it here! I am so in love with this gold and white serene glam vibe!
Also here’s a sneak peak of the Mid Century Modern 9 Drawer Dresser I just recently painted and made into a TV unit! I’ll be posting the tutorial on that soon!

I decorated my mantel with flocked pine boughs, gold and silver Christmas balls, two glittery deer and some silver glittery eucalyptus. It’s like a magical winter wonderland!
These mongolian fur stools are so fun and pretty! They are perfect to prop our feet on when we’re watching TV and great for extra seating too.

The pewter mug under the mirror is one of my hubby’s military mugs. Every time he’s been posted out of a unit he receives a pewter mug like this with his name, rank, the name of the unit he served as a way to remember his service with each unit. He has many of them! Each one has been given to him at the mess and the tradition is that he drinks a beer in it to cheer his fellow soldiers, the unit and success to his new posting. These mugs hold so many memories! I put some fresh boxwood in it for the holidays. The rest of his military mugs are on our bar cart and in our kitchen bar.
I hope you enjoyed my Glam Gold and White Christmas Home Tour and that you all have the very merriest Christmas!

Hi Lisa: I assure you my home and I am very real. Home and Christmas are ABSOLUTELY everything to me as a military wife and mom of 2 boys. I’ve spent many Christmas’s separated from my husband and our boys have spent many Christmas’s without their Dad when he was deployed overseas fighting terrorism, fighting for peace and against chaos, fear and despair. I decorate my home for the holidays to provide a beautiful cozy nest for my family to celebrate the times my husband is thankfully at home with us and to provide security to our boys when he hasn’t been home. If you have a chance you may want to read my ‘About Me’ page https://www.settingforfour.com/story/ where I share why I started this blog as a way to overcome adversity in my life. The name of my website ‘Setting for Four’ came from the extended and frequent separations that we were experiencing as a military family…..I would always set our kitchen table with 4 place settings during meals, even when my husband was away….it made us all feel like he was still at home ‘in spirit’, part of our family meals, part of our lives, even when he physically wasn’t. It gave, I hope, our two boys a sense that even though Dad was away, they could be comforted by knowing his spot was still at the head of the table, his ‘spot’ in their lives, as their Dad, was still there. So out of a situation of difficulty and challenge, ‘Setting for Four’ turned into a journey of joy and hope. I hope you have a beautiful day Lisa and a very merry Christmas!

Heather, seeing your home in it’s entirety was such a pleasure. It’s beautiful and so festive. I know when you face the trials that military families have to endure that the holidays together take on a whole new meaning. I love the story about the mugs! My co-blogger Christy is also a military wife, and I applaud you both for making the most of what is often a challenging situation in creating the most beautiful home you can for your family. Thank you for sharing it and your husband for his service too! XO, Amy
