Elegant Gold And White Christmas Tablescape – Step by Step:
I’m going to walk you through each step so you can copy this look and create it in your home!:
Table Runners: I started this table setting by placing two white table runners across the middle of the table. I prefer this look, but you could also run a table runner down the middle of the table!
DIY Marble Table Runner: Next I added this gorgeous white and gray marble table runner centerpiece that I made! You can see the instructions on how to make it here.
Placemats: Next, I added 4 Gold placemats – I love these gold branch placemats – they are so shimmery! I like to give the table ends a different placemat to add interest – so I used these white placemats.
White Dishes: Next up is adding white dishes. I love my Mikasa bone china place setting!
Gold flatware: My hammered gold flatware is so beautiful and sparkly! I love using it as much as I can!
Wine and water glasses: I love stemless wine glasses!
Appetizer Accent Plates: Next add white and gold appetizer plates – I bought this set from HomeGoods.
Napkins: I added these beautiful festive ‘Joy’ napkins to the middle table settings and the table ends have basic white napkins.
Festive Accent for Each Place Setting: I added a holiday tag and a gold Christmas ornament to each place setting. You can write the names of each person on the back of the tag and give them to your guests as tag home presents to keep!
Floral Centerpieces: I made these centerpieces myself and they are very simple to put together! I bought a dozen long stem white roses and added half of the blooms to two gold vases. I cut the stems so that the flowers are just sitting at the top edge of the vase. You don’t want to cut the stems too long – you don’t want any stems to show. Next I tucked in white pine clippings and sprigs of incense cedar. You can add whatever leaves you have in your backyard, pine, spruce, boxwood, magnolia leaves…. or buy a bunch of winter greenery.
Candles: White pillar candles in clear candle holders add a relaxing white, romantic glow to the table!
More Centerpiece Decor: Lastly I added several gold and silver Christmas balls in a variety of sparkle, matte and shiny finishes down the center of the table!
Christmas Tree: To add a twinkly backdrop to my tablescape I tucked a slim Christmas tree into the corner of my dining room – it’s so beautiful and festive!
