DIY Reindeer Moss Balls

Moss Accessories are everywhere….why not make your own?

Today I am sharing with you these easy handmade DIY Reindeer Moss balls.

I really love how they turned out!

Make these quick and easy DIY Reindeer Moss Balls for home decor accents! See the tutorial! Add them to a mantel, a bowl or apothecary jar for a pretty pop of green color! Nice for spring decor too.

To celebrate spring, I set sights on making a few moss balls for an apothecary jar in my kitchen and my fireplace mantle.

I love decorating for the seasons and bringing the outdoors inside! Nothing says ‘Spring’ like moss and the color green! After a long winter it’s so refreshing to add this color to the home!

I always often change up the decor on my mantel – and it doesn’t have to cost a lot of money! These DIY moss balls are so inexpensive to make and really add a lot of impact to a space.

I bought this most amazing shade of chartreuse green Reindeer Moss.

So, what’s reindeer moss???  Reindeer mosses were originally named for their value as a food source for reindeer and caribou in the plant’s northern range. Reindeer moss is really a lichen, not a moss.

I love its texture and the beautiful yellow-green color is perfect for spring!

Make these quick and easy DIY Reindeer Moss Spheres for home decor accents! See the tutorial! Add them to a mantel, a bowl or apothecary jar for a pretty pop of green color! Nice for spring decor too.

Heather I really like these, and I had no idea what Reindeer moss was. I was wondering why you were doing a Christmas craft in March. LOL

I thought these were large balls like putting out in the garden. they are more than wonderful, though. I “pinned” it so I can make some — someday.
