Barbecued Tilapia with Strawberry Lime Salsa

Our whole family loves it (even the one picky eater we have in the house!)…..And it’s super easy to prepare and to make!!   

  Frozen tilapia is a wonderful fish to barbecue. It’s thick steak-like fillets hold up well on the grill and I’m showing you an easy, clever trick to barbecue it,so it doesn’t fall apart and holds all the delicious basting marinade flavors in too!

Barbecued Tilapia with Strawberry Lime Salsa

A simple fresh strawberry salsa takes barbecue tilapia straight to the top! This recipe is loaded with vitamins, protein and delicious flavor!

Ingredients

  • 4 Tilapia fillets
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • salt and pepper to taste

Salsa

  • 2 cups chopped fresh strawberries
  • 3 tbsp chopped red onion
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • 1. Place frozen tilapia fillets in a single layer on a sheet of aluminum foil. Crimp foil edges into a tray shape.
  • 2.Combine oil, honey, lime juice and salt and pepper.
  • 3. Brush both sides of the fillets.
  • 4. Place foil traya on barbecus and grill over medium high heat. Baste occasionally for 10-15 minutes or until fish is cooked.
  • 5. Combine salsa ingredients and serve on top of cooked fish.
