Here’s a real yummy cookie recipe that has a candy bar surprise center!  3 Musketeers cookies….my family, especially my boys, love them!

These delicious 3 Musketeers Cookies taste just like the chocolate candy bar! Easy recipe with a surprise chocolate bar center. Bag them up to make a great holiday and teacher gift idea! www.settingforfour.com

ou can use any chocolate coated candy bar including caramel, malted milk, peanut butter or marshmallow.  I use ‘3 Musketeers’.

These cookies keep well in an airtight container for a few days and also freeze well.  If you freeze them you can restore them to their just-out-of-the-oven softness by microwaving them for about 15 seconds!

Makes 36 cookies.

Ingredients:

1 cup butter
3/4 cup paked brown sugar
3/4 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
2 &1/4 cups all purpose flour
1/3 cup cocoa
1 tsp baking soda
3 candy bars ( I use 3 Musketeers) each cut into 12 cubes
1/4 cup granulated sugar

Make & Bake:

Cream together butter, brown sugar and 3/4 cup granulated sugar.
Beat in eggs one at a time.
Add vanilla.
Sift together flour, cocoa and baking soda, sift into creamed mixture.
Chill dough until firm.
Place 1 tbsp dough in your hand and mould into cup shape in which to place chocolate bar cube.
Shape dough around cube, then roll in sugar.
Place on baking sheet lined with parchment paper (or greased and floured).
Bake in 350 F oven for about 12 minutes or until cookies flatten slightly.
Remove to rack to cool.

Enjoy!

(I made teacher gift bags filled with these cookies for my 13 year old to give out the last day of school last week.  Aren’t the tags cute?)

Such a good idea! Last day of school this year, I saw a bunch of kids w/ presents for their teachers waiting outside the building. I regret my kids weren’t one of them. Next year, w/ this tip, we’ll be ready! Thanks for stopping by!

Our new neighbor invited us for dinner and I offered dessert (she has 2 young kids). We’re snowed in today so I had to use what was on hand. I still had an unopened bag of 3 Musk. from Halloween so I thought I’d try this. SO easy to make! And REALLY tasty!
