DIY Tartan Pillows

Hello everyone! It’s the day before Christmas and thought I would post a pillow project I completed yesterday, (which i had been meaning to do for a couple of weeks now).

I made two pillows for my living room sectional from a tartan camp blanket I found at Goodwill three weeks ago. I am not sure what it is made from – since there was no label on it but it is very soft! It is probably acrylic. I love the colours in it – red, forest green, black and gold. When I saw it I knew it would fit in perfectly with my red themed christmas decor.

This is a super simple method of creating a pillow cover; you do not need to be a experienced sewer at all. All you need to do is sew 4 hems and that’s it!
