4 Steps To Completely Deep Clean A Toilet From Top To Bottom And Ditch The Toilet Brush! It’s Spring cleaning time friends and today I’m dishing about the number one cleaning chore I dread the most – cleaning our bathroom toilets! Whose with me? Raise your hand! I’ve got some fabulous tips and tricks today for you – let’s dish!
As a Mom of two boys who seem to have bad aim our toilets require constant cleaning and disinfecting. Having been a past microbiologist – cleaning our toilets is one chore that really, really grosses me out! What grosses me out even more is keeping a germy toilet brush and a germy holder in the bathroom. Yuck!
Deep cleaning the toilet to get rid of all those nasty germs requires more than swishing a toilet brush around for a few seconds.
Here are 4 Steps to completely deep clean a toilet from top to bottom:
1. Remove all items sitting on and around the toilet: such as a plant or a tissue paper box on the toilet tank. Remove all items on the floor sitting around the toilet itself.
2. Clean The Toilet Bowl: I’m so excited to have found the quickest and easiest way to clean the toilet bowl…. and I’ve ditched the gross, drippy toilet brush too! Goodbye germ laden brush and holder! Now I use the Clorox Toilet Wand – just click, swish and toss! This baby kills 99.9 percent of germs like staphylococcus aureus, rhinovirus type 37 and influenza A. So it’s especially good to use after your family has had the flu and a great way to prevent getting sick from these germs in the first place!
This is how the Clorox ToiletWand works:
Click the wand into a refill head, swish around the bowl to unleash preloaded Clorox Toilet Bowl Cleaner, then toss the head away – that’s it! Much easier and waaaaay more hygienic than a traditional toilet brush! I love the size and shape of the spongy cleaning heads – they are small enough to get into the bottom of the toilet bowl and under the rim to clean the siphon jets too.
The Clorox Toilet Wand creates a good soapy lather to really deep clean the whole bowl. Cleans better than a brush!
See for yourself!
3. Clean The Toilet Seat Attachments – use a toothbrush and cleaner to get around all the grooves. Lift up the attachment covers to clean inside there as well. Undo the screws to remove the toilet seat and clean.
4. Clean The Outside Of The Toilet: Start at the top of the toilet tank use a cleaner and paper towel or disposable cleaning wipes to wipe the surface clean. Continue wiping down the toilet making sure you wipe all parts of the tank, the seat and lid as well as around the bottom of the toilet. Be sure to generously wipe the floor around the toilet too!
Now your toilet has been completely deep cleaned! Thank you Clorox Toilet Wand – you take the gross out of toilet cleaning!
