I made these painted pots for our DIY herb ‘bar’ so that we can have delicious fresh herbs for our summer drinks and ice teas!
I grouped 4 potted herbs: rosemary, mojito mint, lemon grass and spearmint plants in my DIY white washed pots onto a side table where we sit outdoors.
Now we can add a touch of herbal flavor to our summer sippers and cocktails – YUM!

Supplies to Make DIY White Washed Terra Cotta Pots:
DIY White Wash Instructions:
1. Dab bristles of paint brush lightly into white mineral paint. Wipe off most of the paint onto a paper towel so that your brush is almost dry.
In a cross hatch motion apply paint to outside of pot and onto pot base. Continue until pot is completely white washed.
That’s it! One step!

Such a great idea to plant herbs specifically for summer drinks (at arm’s reach). Who knew there was a mojito mint? We go through a bunch of herbs in the summer for cooking. They add so much flavour and freshness to dishes. Your pots look great, too!
