Dining Room Update – see how I updated traditional dining room furniture with some new looks! All resources are listed below including these gorgeous nailhead wingback chairs!
Our dining room is one of the first rooms I set up and decorated when we moved to our home 3 years ago. As a military family, wherever we are posted, we love to entertain and get together with new and old friends over a relaxed meal!
Our dining room has had a few updates like a new area rug and new black, gold and silver DIY marbled artwork but it’s basically remained the same over the past 3 years as I concentrated on painting and updating other rooms in our home.
Recently, I gave our dining room a mini makeover with some gorgeous new wingback chairs, dinnerware and accessories! Take a look!
I started off my dining room makeover by creating this mood board. To help me figure out what items I wanted to add to my space, I created my mood board with my Signature Style in mind: Rustic, Glam, Comfortable,Elegance!

Here’s how I updated my dining room:
I added two of these gorgeous comfy tufted nailhead wingback chairs, one at each end of our table – aren’t they stunning?
I’m love the linen fabric, button tufted style and those oversized nailheads….oh my! When updating dining room furniture keeping upholstered pieces neutral is a wise decorating decision.
Next update – new dinnerware! These white embossed pottery plates from Portugal are so beautiful!
The gray napkins made from 100% cotton are so soft and are a stunning dove gray color.
These geo terrariums are a great way to showcase some greenery and bring easy to care for succulents into my dining room.
This bronze drying rack is a smart way to store mugs for after-dinner coffee or tea.
Gray velvet pillows in a basket add more amazing texture to our dining room.
