How To Create A Fabulous New Year’s Eve Bar Cart
1. The Bar Cart!:
Of course you need a bar cart! If you don’t have one already I’ve linked up several beautiful bar carts that are under $100 and some that are under $200! In a pinch you can use a console table, or tired end table instead!
I bought this bar cart at Walmart 2 years ago – it was a seasonal item and they don’t carry it anymore. But they have some gorgeous and affordable barcarts online – check them out here.
I love bar carts with wheels so that you can move it from room to room! Our bar cart is an indoor/ outdoor style so I use it outdoors on our patio in the summer at our Fire Pit Seating Area.

2. Bar Cocktail Drinks and mix:
Stock your bar cart with champagne, wine, gin, vodka, beer, cider, sodas, juice and sparkling water (I love these mini Perrier bottles!). Make sure you have lots of non alcoholic drinks!
3. Barware:
You will need an ice bucket for your champagne, a shaker, shot glass and strainer to create cold cocktails, an ice bucket for ice, ice, tongs for ice, wine glasses and champagne glasses.
The pewter beer mugs on the bottom or our bar cart is my hubby’s military mug collection! Every time he’s been posted out of a unit he is given a pewter beer mug with the insignia of the Army Unit, date, his name and rank on it as a thank you for his service at that unit!
I think they look perfect on our bar cart!
4. Food:
You can serve nuts, candy, chocolate and appetizers of your choice. Use small bowls and tiered cake stands to maximize your bar cart square footage!
My bar cart is stocked with a bowlful of Lindor chocolates – yum! I usually serve warm appetizers like my delicious maple bacon wrapped potato bites with cheddar cheese dip and Jalapeno Chicken Spirals too.

5. New Year’s Eve Party Supplies:
Add star banners, balloons, accordion fans, disco balls, fringed foil curtains for a photo backdrop, party horns, hats and blowers to your bar cart! Don’t forget to add straws and napkins too!
I draped a gold glitter star garland across the front of my bar cart and a string of white mini lights down the side. I popped some black and white party blowers in a vase. A clear bowl full of metallic Christmas ornaments adds some extra bling!
