Summer is officially here and the kids are on summer holidays so that means it’s Smoothie making time!
To beat the heat this summer I’m planning lots of visits to our local pool, hitting the beach and sipping on cool, refreshing, healthy smoothies like this Easy Banana Coconut Smoothie Recipe with Shaved Coconut Topping! I promise you’ll feel like you have escaped to the tropics when you whip one up for yourself and the kids (this Smoothie is simple enough that the kids can join in and make themselves!).
This Smoothie is great for restricted diets too: it’s Gluten Free, Lactose Free, Dairy Free and Soy Free.
Banana Coconut Smoothie Recipe with Shaved Coconut Topping
This recipe is so simple and quick to make. Which is great because when you are hot and thirsty you need something cold and refreshing in a hurry! At only 6 minutes to make this recipe will have your thirst quenched in a jiffy. ( I use a handy blender like this Multi-Function Blender to make them! )
The shaved coconut topping adds the perfect touch of the tropics!
Made with healthy Silk Almond Coconut Blend this drink has a subtle almond and coconut flavour that is a tasty combination with bananas!

- 2 cups Silk Almond Coconut Blend
- 4 bananas
- 3 tbsp honey
- 2 cups ice cubes
- Shaved coconut
- 1. Add all ingredients except shaved coconut to blender.
- 2. Blend on high until smooth.
- 3. Pour into glasses.
- 4. Sprinkle each glass with shaved coconut topping as desired.
- Substitute Silk Almond Coconut Blend for Silk Almond Vanilla.
