Valentine’s Day is only 6 days away!
This is the day we show the love we have for each other through flowers, chocolates, pretty cards and maybe (honey are you listening??!!) a candlelight dinner!
I love to decorate our mantle for the holidays and this is what I came up this year for Valentine’s Day décor using the tradition of Valentine’s Day flowers, shades of pink, sparkle and candle light:
I’ll show you how you can decorate a Mantle for Valentine’s Day!
You’ll need:
- Fresh flowers (I used fuschia pink mini carnations)
- Candles
- Mercury Glass
- A Sparkly Mirror
- 3 Feather Boas – one white and two pink and white
- Easy and quick handmade Pottery Barn Inspired LOVE Votive Candle set – tutorial here
- A DIY Pink and Cream Brocade Paper and ribbon Valentine Banner (tutorial coming soon!)
…the candles and fireplace are lit….
A white feather boa surrounds these DIY Pottery Barn Inspired Love Votives tutorial here.
Pink mini carnations from the grocery store are super inexpensive and give a gorgeous pop of color!
A pink and white Valentine banner (fast to make!) picks up the pink and white colors of the feathers:
This easy and fabulous DIY Valentine banner is hung with white sheer ribbon:
I’ll be showing you how to decorate your Mantle for Valentine’s Day today as a Google Plus Hangout on Air at 12 noon EST – come and join me, I’ll have the hangout live here at noon!
