Now You Can Have Black Interiors that are Bold not Bleak!

With the autumn weather arriving in parts of the north and the daylight growing shorter with the approach of fall, adding black to our interior spaces is a great way to create a dramatic coccooning effect or a bold fresh update.

Black interiors fit many design styles...tradtional, contemporary, classic, vintage....

Lets take a look at how the color black can wow in these 5 spaces:

Vintage Black: love this black apothecary cabinet!

  1. I love black! but my house is too dark for it, I've had to paint all my black pieces white. Sigh. .. LOVE your featured photos!

    1. Thanks Anne! I would love to do our main floor bathroom like the feature photo with the black trellis design....its a very small bathroom, so I think it might work! Each home definitely has it's own style so you have to keep that in mind like you have!

  2. I loooove black kitchens. Love them! Like black walls, I mean, not just the cabinets. Does this mean you're going to do a black room to show us? :)

  4. I love all of the black! I am always selling and scared that buyers will make an aweful face when they see the black walls, so I never paint it.....maybe the next house I'll be brave and do it anyways!

    1. It's good to hear, Rhiannon, that black walls can sell a home! Hopefully you can repaint your new space that way too!

  8. I love that black on black wallpaper pattern - very elegant! I'm just afraid that black is only going to work in rooms with lots of natural light - otherwise it'll look like the Batcave ;-)
