Vintage Westmooreland Milk Glass

Have you ever heard of Westmooreland Milk Glass?  If you collect milk glass you probably have! It's a type of vintage milk glass made during 1889-1984 by the Westmooreland Glass company located in Pennsylvania, USA.

This is my Westmooreland 'Doric Lace' pattern bowl.  Isn't it pretty?

I bought it at a local antique mall for 10$....which I thought was a pretty good price!

I adore the Doric Lace pattern; the tiered lattice border is just stunning!  I would love to see how they actually made this intricate pattern!  I wonder how they made the open latticework?

I've used this bowl to display my DIY French Script Easter Eggs, but it could also be used as a fruit bowl, for serving rolls at the dinner table or just simply displayed on a shelf!

Filled with Reindeer Moss on my Bookcase Family Organizer

If you are lucky enough to have a collection of milk glass, this is how you can display it.....be prepared to drool!

Wouldn't you just love to have one of these milk glass collections in your home? Me too!

  10. I love milk glass too. I inherited some from my grandparents several years ago and right now have it displayed on my fireplace mantle. Kind of a retro farmhouse look for the first part of summer.

I would love to have that huge collection at the end- that would be awesome. Maybe someday....if I start looking for more!

I am visiting from Anything Goes Wednesday- thanks for sharing.
